Having problems tying off the end of your fly upon completion?
Try using the quil of a feather mounted into the end of a knob. The loop or knot is first made on the shaft of the quil. Once the knot has been fashioned onto the quil, lower into place with the tip of the quil just behind the eye of the hook.
Give it a try, the technique works well for me!
